3. Advertising with Articles can Kill Your Website
Anyone who has marketed on the internet for even a short period of time knows the Cardinal Rule, “Information is King”. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is governed by this law.
Many webmasters attempt using articles from free directories or PLR sites. They do this to
satisfy search engines in their quest to obtain the highest possible SEO they can get.
This is very apparent for marketers that are running on limited funds. Therefore new or not very successful webmasters are the ones that find themselves in this situation.
I have followed an ongoing argument over using less than fresh information on your site. Some say search engines will drop you like a hot potato for using copied articles. Others cry it won’t make any difference.
This ongoing fight is not my concern. From personal experience and just plain common sense I will give you three reasons to use good, original content.
First I have always believed search engines will rate new articles higher than reused information every time. You can increase the volume on your website by using copied articles and reports, but this will not guarantee improved rankings with the search engines.
Good search engine rankings are essential in getting visitors to your site so they will even have a chance of clicking one of your opportunities. If they can’t click they can’t buy. And guess what that means, no revenue.
SEO should be job one. If customers never find your site you will never have a chance for success.
Next you need to work on getting your customer to buy when they find your site. As hard as it is to get a high rating so people can find your site, that’s only half the battle.
You must also be able to get your visitors to click on your affiliate links. If they are reading the words of an expert they will be more likely to purchase or at least review your link. Rehashed content will do nothing but convince them you’re definitely no expert.
Good article writing is your answer. Fresh words will help influence your visitors. If you’re unsure of your ability to write or if time for research is a problem, just rewriting the free article in your own words will work almost as well. (One of my sites helps authors write their articles. It is Writing Articles with Bonzo at:
Lets talk about the third problem with free articles. Think about it, why do authors allow you to use their work for free? It’s because they’re trying to get new customers just like you.
Authors will not allow their work to be used unless you agree to keep their byline attached to the article or report. The hope is that your customer will click on their link instead of yours.
Talk about shooting yourself in the foot!
If you put all three of these problems together, you can see how by simply trying to increase SEO you may have killed your site and made extra money for some unknown author at the same time.
Good job!
It is imperative to your future that you learn how to write articles yourself or find the money to pay for others to do the dirty work for you.
There are lots of great sites to find the information you need. It’s up to you now to go ahead and do what you must to get the job done.
Good luck with your future.

1. MAKING MONEY WITH ARTICLES FOR BANNER ADVERTISEMENTS
When you’re trying to make money off the articles you write on your website, it’s important to effectively promote your site so that you will attract customers and they can see just what a good, quality site you have. There are several ways to market and promote your website. Banner advertising can be a very productive selection.
You may find a real discussion in the marketing field as to the effectiveness of banner Ads. Some will even tell you this type of advertising is dead. I believe you’ll find effective use of banners can prove as productive as many other types of advertising.
What Banner Ads Can Do For You
Banner ads can help bring visitors from others sites to yours. Although monthly fees may be expensive on high traffic sites, in the end it may be a cheaper and faster way to start seeing significant revenue from your website efforts than waiting for SEO techniques to bring your site to the top. Aside from paying to advertise on someone else’s site, there are also free banner exchanges and other outlets for banner advertising. We will look at the pros and cons of some of these options..
Free Banner Exchanges
Free banner exchanges are usually when you and other sites exchange each others banners. Their banner will go on your site and your banner will go one theirs Although this option is usually free, there are two main problems with it. First of all, if you want your banner on a significant number of sites, it will mean cluttering your own site up with quite a few outside banners. You could even shoot yourself in the foot if you run a competitors ad because, instead of clicking on your product, your visitors may be clicking on your competitors’. Secondly, you have to be really careful about the types of sites that you exchange banners with. Some sites like to gather a lot of banners so that they can be a directory or portal site and not have to have any real content. These “banner farms” or “link farms” will do nothing positive for your site and, in the meantime, you will be bringing them potential traffic.
Recently a new type of advertising site has begun to appear that allows you to post banners at no cost or for a nominal fee. They usually also offer solo ads as well as other forms of advertising. These sites usually offer a free membership as well as one of two low priced life time memberships. They can be great, but the downside is that most of the members of these sites are looking for free or real low cost items so they are probably not your best prospects.
Paid Banner Ads
As we saw above, though paid banner ads cost money, they can pay great dividends if you choose them correctly. You need to ensure that the site produces the amount of traffic that they say it will and that they have your ad placed in a way that invites visitors to click without being too pushy. You also want to make sure your banner is not lost in a whole group of other banners. .
All in all, banner ads can end up being profitable for your site if you go about it the right way. If you do decide to check out banner advertisement as a marketing avenue, be sure to keep the above tips in mind.Good luck in all your marketing endeavors.

2. ClickBank Newsletter November 2008
Promote ClickBank Products with Article Marketingby Jamie Lewis If becoming a successful affiliate marketer were easy, there wouldn't be tons of affiliate marketing forums and we would all be rich. Whether you have signed up
for ClickBank recently or you are a veteran of ClickBankaffiliate marketing, you know that achieving great
success takes a lot of time and effort. Successful ClickBank affiliates have passion for every part of their business and work diligently to perfect each aspect. One tactic successful affiliates employ is article marketing. What is Article Marketing? As an affiliate, your objective is to successfully promote as many ClickBank memberships, ebooks, videos and programs as possible. Article marketing, one of the easiest and more effective methods for promoting digital products, is a powerful arrow in your quiver. Specifically, article marketing is a type of advertising where businesses or affiliates write short articles related to a product they are trying to sell or promote and then make the articles available on the Internet (more on this below). Once the articles are online they can drive potential customers to the products you are promoting. Writing ArticlesOnce you have chosen a product to promote, you have to decide which particular keyword or keyword niches to target for your article. Ideally, every article you write would focus on a keyword that receives significant traffic but has minimal competition. The less competition in your niche, the easier it will be for your article to appear on the first pages of the search engines when potential customers search on that keyword. After you have chosen your keyword, you need to write the article. Each article consists of a headline, the body of the article (roughly 500 words) and an ending paragraph with a link to either a ClickBank pitch page or another landing page you have created. Killer Headlines That Sell ThemselvesYour article headlines should jump out at your prospect and entice them to click and learn more. A great headline does two things:1. Gets more clicks than your competition2. Represents your article accurately A balance of both is ideal. A headline that focuses solely on getting clicks at the expense of accuracy results in a high click-through on the headline, but a poor rate of clicking through to buy the product. For SEO purposes your headline should start with your keywords. After your keywords, it should then immediately create desire by portraying a strong benefit. An example of a good headline is "SEO techniques: how to appear #1 in Google for a super competitive keyword." This headline started with the keyword phrase (SEO techniques), and then immediately stated a strong, highly desireable benefit. The Body of the Article -- Your Chance to SellThe body of the article should explain the product to the reader and create intense desire to buy. Giving your reader valuable content that appeals to their needs can get them interested enough to take action, such as clicking a link you provide at the bottom of the article to learn more or to purchase the product (more on that below). Your article should contain the niche keyword you've chosen to target throughout the body text. However, be careful not to repeat it so often that it looks suspicious to search engines. A good rule of thumb is that if your writing seems awkward or fake to a human reading it, search engines may penalize the page for "spamming." Most of all, remember that you need to keep your reader interested and motivated by giving them truly worthwhile information. Readers will quickly leave if your article seems like it's purely a sales pitch with no real "meat" to it. The Last Paragraph -- Get Your Reader to Click! The last paragraph is your chance to get the reader to click on your link to either go the publisher pitch page to purchase or to go another page you have created where the visitor is further convinced, which then links to the publisher pitch page. Some article sites do not allow you to link directly to a publisher pitch page. In this instance you can link customers to another page that you created that further convinces them to buy. This landing page or Web site should also be rich with your keyword. If you are linking directly to a publisher pitch page, use a ClickBank Hoplink. The Hoplink should consist of a one or two word anchor text like this: Advance your SEO Techniques now. The keyword shown here is "SEO Techniques." If you are linking to another page that you have created that further convinces potential customers to buy, use a standard link. This link should also consist of a one or two word anchor text and link to the page you've created. For example, Advance your SEO Techniques now. Placing Your ArticlesAfter you have written an article you need to submit it to article directories online. Two of the best article directories are: GoArticles.com and EzineArticles.com. Article Marketing SuccessAfter your article is published, it will begin to receive traffic. The idea is to dominate the first page of search engine results for the keyword with your article. Since your article receives traffic from the search engines, and your ClickBank link is present on the article page or on a landing page linked to from the article, you can receive significant traffic that results in sales.
